Where will our session be held?
Depending on your session type, they are held in either my natural light studio, approximately 35 minutes west of Waurn Ponds or on location in the Geelong or Surf Coast area.
When is the best time to have our maternity session?
Maternity sessions are best held around 32-36 weeks of pregnancy. If you have missed this window, that is absolutely fine, we can still schedule you in and get them done before your little one arrives!
When should we book our newborn session?
The best time to book is generally during your second trimester. I only take on a limited number of sessions per month so it is always best to book in early to avoid missing out.
When is the best time to have our newborn photographed?
Sessions are best held within the first 1-2 weeks of age if possible. Babies are super sleepy in these first few weeks and it means we are able to get more variety in your gallery and your session will generally not take as long. If you have an older baby, that is absolutely fine. We will still get lots of gorgeous images during your session.
When is the best time to have our older baby photographed?
One of my favourite ages to photography babies is around the 6-9 month range, once they are able to sit unassisted and before they start to crawl. This allows for lots of gorgeous smile and curious stares with out bub crawling away all the time. Having said that, anytime is the perfect time to have your little one photographed, so if you have a particular stage that you would like to document, please just reach out!
Can we get family and sibling photos?
Absolutely! These are often my favourite images from your session. There is no extra cost for family photos.
When is the best time of year for family photographs?
All year round! Every season has its own special look, so it really depends how you are wanting your final images to look. Everyone is cozy warm knits during winter, floaty dresses and cardigans in spring, rompers, dresses and shorts in summer or layers and gorgeous foliage colour in autumn. If choosing a session in the winter months, please don't worry about the weather. I am flexible with rescheduling in case of wind and rain! We get such gorgeous sunsets during Winter, and sessions are held earlier in the afternoon, which ofter works well for families with young children.
What should we wear?
After booking your session, you will receive a session information guide which has lots of tips and inspiration for selecting your outfits. I also have a studio wardrobe filled with gorgeous pieces for your little ones and even som dresses for Mumma's.
